Peer-review Process

To ensure a high scientific quality of the journal “Bulletin of SNAU. The series: Veterinary Medicine”, all submitted materials are passed through 2 levels of verification.

At the first stage, the editorial team checks the articles for compliance with the journal subject and the general requirements, conducts a check on plagiarism.

After the editors decide, the article is sent to the external reviewer. There is the double-blind review system in the journal “Bulletin of SNAU. The series: Veterinary Medicine”. Reviewers receive encrypted articles, and authors are not informed the reviewer person.

If it is necessary, the editorial board may direct the article for additional review.

Based on the review results and editorial review, the following decision may be obtained:

  • publish an article without refinement;
  • recommend to public the article after the author takes into account of minor changes;
  • appoint a re-review after the author introduces significant changes based on the recommendations and comments of the reviewer;
  • refuse to publish the article (if the material does not correspond to the level or subject of the journal, contains plagiarism or fundamental deficiencies).

The results of the review are sent to the author together with the comments of the reviewer or reasons for refusal to publish the article.

If the author refuses to refine the materials, the article is not allowed for publication.

During the reviewing process, reviewers are required to adhere to the principles of publication ethics and privacy policies of the journal.
